Horsepower for Hope - Niswonger Children's Hospital - 09.19.2026

Dear Wilderness Trail Region members, friends, and guests,

Cars bring our club together. On Saturday, September 19, we have an opportunity to use that passion for something much bigger.

We are proud to present Horsepower for Hope, a special event benefiting Niswonger Children’s Hospital and the families who travel there for their children’s care.

Our fundraising campaign will support patient transportation assistance through the Ballad Health Foundation, helping families with vehicle repairs, fuel, and other transportation costs that can become barriers between a child and the medical care they need.

For many of these families, reliable transportation isn't simply a convenience. A set of worn tires, an overdue repair, fuel costs, or an unexpected breakdown can mean a missed appointment or delayed treatment.

HORSEPOWER FOR HOPE – SEPTEMBER 19

We want to fill the hospital with Porsches and give the kids at Niswonger something special to see!

9:30 AM – Pre-Event Gathering
At Home - 3019 Peoples St., Johnson City, TN

9:45 AM – Groups Begin to Roll

We'll depart together for Niswonger Children’s Hospital, creating a colorful Porsche parade through Johnson City.

10:00 AM – Porsche Parade Arrives at Niswonger Children’s Hospital

We'll make a brief stop at the hospital's main entrance/loop to deliver approved goodies for the children.

AFTER THE PARADE: PORSCHE CAR SHOW

Following the parade, we'll gather for a family-friendly Porsche Car Show, with approximately 50 reserved Porsche spaces near the hospital.

The public portion of Horsepower for Hope is free and open to everyone, so bring your family and friends and help us turn the area around the hospital into a celebration of cars, community, and hope.

We completely understand that many participants would like to bring toys and gifts for the children. However, because of the medical needs and health considerations of the children at the hospital, donated items must comply with a specific list of restrictions.

The easiest and most effective way to help is with a monetary donation.

Donations can be made through WTRPCA.ORG and are tax deductible. The club will use the appropriate funds to purchase items that have been reviewed and approved by the hospital, while the Horsepower for Hope campaign supports transportation assistance for families.

Bring your Porsche.

Seeing dozens of colorful Porsches arriving together will be one of the highlights of the day for the children. Sometimes making a difference is as simple as showing up and giving a kid something exciting to watch from a hospital window.
