Ready for another unforgettable day behind the wheel? Join us for a scenic drive through one of North Carolina's best-kept driving secrets—NC-209, better known as The Rattler.

With 290 curves packed into just 24 miles, The Rattler delivers everything we love about driving a Porsche: sweeping valley vistas, technical mountain switchbacks, flowing curves, and quiet backroads that seem purpose-built for sports cars. Add the charming mountain town of Hot Springs, NC, and you've got the perfect recipe for a Saturday drive.

As always, this isn't about setting lap records. It's about enjoying great roads, beautiful scenery, and even better company at a comfortable pace.

We'll meet at 9:00 AM at the Shell Gas Station (Exit 40 off I-26), 2004 Temple Hill Road, Erwin, TN, before heading toward Hot Springs via TN-352 and NC-212, then continuing along NC-208 and US-25/70.

Our first stop will be the Hot Springs Welcome Center for a quick restroom break and to stretch our legs before taking on the legendary Rattler. We'll follow NC-209 through its incredible sequence of curves to the Trust General Store & Café, where we'll stop for lunch. And because one pass on The Rattler is never enough, we'll turn around after lunch and enjoy the entire route again on our return toward Hot Springs and Erwin.
