Group Drive: Dragon Fest 4 - Back of the Dragon - 05.02.2026

Get ready for an unforgettable driving adventure as we return to the legendary Back of the Dragon for Dragon Fest 4. This 120-mile driving experience is the perfect opportunity to enjoy your Porsche on some of the best roads the Appalachians have to offer, while spending the day with fellow enthusiasts.

We’ll take on 32 miles of pure driving nirvana, featuring 438 curves, technical switchbacks, elevation changes, and sweeping mountain views. With more than 70 Porsches expected, this event is more than just a drive—it’s a true celebration of driving and camaraderie.

Adding to the experience, we’ll detour to Burkes Garden, a breathtaking hidden valley often referred to as “God’s Thumbprint” and “Vanderbilt’s First Choice.” Expect rolling green hills, scenic overlooks, and a stop at the local Amish-run general store (cash only).

• 8:30 AM – Meet in Bristol
• 8:50 AM – Groups 1–5 depart (2-minute intervals)
• 9:45 AM – Arrive at Marion CITGO/Ingles (restrooms available)

Marion to Tazewell / Back of the Dragon (32 miles)
• 10:15 AM – Groups 1–5 depart (3-minute intervals)
• 11:00 AM – Arrive at Back of the Dragon Welcome Center

Lunch Stop
• 11:00 AM–1:00 PM – Lunch at Dragon Fired Pizza

Tazewell to Burkes Garden (23 miles)
• 1:10 PM – Groups 1–5 depart (3-minute intervals)
• 1:45–2:05 PM – Arrive at Burkes Garden General Store (park on shoulder; cash only)

Burkes Garden to Tazewell (13 miles)
• 2:30–3:15 PM – Return to Back of the Dragon Welcome Center (restroom stop)

Back of the Dragon to Marion (32 miles)
• 3:30 PM – Depart for Marion
• 4:00 PM – Arrive at Marion CITGO/Ingles (PCA event concludes)
